Annapurna View Trek

USD $ 0 p/p

AMIS HIMALAYA ADVENTURE TRE  has proposed a package for those seeking short and relatively easy trekking at warmer and lower elevations; there are several options available. The Annapurna View Trek starts from Pokhara, a small city which is the most popular tourist destination in Nepal and the gateway to the Annapurna region. It is a great historical and cultural area from where adventure seekers can enjoy a wide variety of activities. There are also plenty of things to do around the valley: short hikes and day excursions, boating, paragliding, Ultralight aircraft and activities suitable for children and weary trekkers. Even if someone were to remain in Pokhara, they could find plenty of entertaining things to do, or just enjoy relaxing beside the beautiful lake with the backdrop of the magnificent Fishtail Mountain, known as Machhapuchhre.

Difficulty Rating of Annapurna View Trek

Any avid walker who is able to hike approximately 3-4 hours a day carrying a lightweight backpack will be fit enough to do this trek. We recommend you bring walking poles, as you will find them helpful especially in the long descents when your legs may feel shaky, and the stone steps are uneven. The altitude is only 3200m, so there is no altitude related risk.

Safe Drinking Water on Annapurna View Trek

We suggest that you drink boiled water or bring chlorine tablets to purify the normal water available in the guest houses along the way. There is a small fee charged for the boiled water. Several guesthouses have Euro-guard filters. Although mineral water is available in most places, there is no provision to dispose of the plastic bottles, so we encourage the guests to do what they can to protect the environment.

Re-charging Batteries of Electronic Items on the Trek

You can recharge your digital camera, iPod, batteries etc. with electricity or solar power sources. You may need to buy an adaptor in Kathmandu before the trip since the plugs in Nepal might be different. The lodges charge a small fee per hour for recharging facilities

IMPORTANT NOTE:  It is good to check out with several companies before making a decision, but please be aware that in Nepal there are some companies who operate without experienced and qualified staff. Certainly they offer cheaper prices, but there may be some unexpected hidden costs. Many clients go back home with bitter experience due to poor services. I saw this repeatedly when I worked as a guide in other companies, which is what motivated me to start this business.

Perhaps you will not believe this; I will give you an example.

Please notice our services; during the trek we provide you a lodge menu which includes unlimited tea or coffee with each meal. After hearty breakfast, we give you some energy snacks, such as Mars, Snicker, Boundary Bars and many more chocolates. When you reach the lunch place, we provide hot tang juice and you can order the lunch of your choice from the lodge menu. After trekking all day you will reach the guest house. After a hot shower, we will serve tea with biscuits. For dinner, you can order your choice from the menu; soup, main course and dessert.

We always want to give high quality service as we believe that in time it will pay off by creating a positive reputation in the market. We are not as concerned with the number of clients; to us the most important thing is this to give excellent quality service. Unfortunately, there is a lot of competition to lower the price, and little competition in providing quality.
