Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang 6,091 m. peak climbing is one of the most popular and technically easier trekking peaks of Nepal lying in the Annapurna region. Pisang (6,091 m.) peak stands up from the Yak pasture land of Pisang village just opposite to the Massif Annapurna II and in between the two giant eight thou sanders Annapurna I and Manaslu. Pisang (6,091 m.) peak was first ascended by a German Expedition in 1955 and since then the trend has kept on its own pace of considerable remark. Pisang peak climbing combines the rewarding peak climbing all the way through the most challenging trekking destination in Annapurna Region crossing the highest pass of the world the Thorung La pass.

For Pisang Peak climbing we start our trek from Besisahar. Besisahar is a beautiful Marsyangdi river valley which is rich in diverse flora and fauna. The trekking trail takes us all the way through the awe- inspiring, naturally and culturally rich Annapurna circuit trail until we reaching the rugged mountainous topography of Manang valley. This valley is culturally rich and offers the most spectacular view of the majestic massif of Annapurna Himal range and Damodar peaks. We trek from the lowland valleys passing through the pristine forests of rhododendron and oaks, deep George, alpine lakes, Rivers, huge Glaciers, Yak pastures, beautiful villages inhibited with diverse ethnic group of people rich in culture and traditions. Our trek now takes us to the Pisang valley - beautiful valley where Pisang peak stands offers the most spectacular view of the majestic peak of Mt. Manaslu and LamjungHimal. From this valley, our trail now gently ascends up to reach our Pisang peak Base Camp at Kaharka at (4,380m). From this place we again ascend up to set a High Camp at (5,400m.). From here our trail ascends gradually through the uniform and snowy slope of the Pisang peak to reach the summit of the peak. Summit of the peak offers spectacular views of the Annapurna Himal range along with Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna and the Glacier Dome. We descend the peak via same route. After the successful attempt to the peak trail slowly ascends from Manang valley and we ascend the Thorong Pass (5416m.). Crossing this Pass, we visit Muktinath (3802m) a famous Hindu pilgrimage visited by thousands of Hindu pilgrim all over the country and India every year.

Pisang peak climbing offers a good opportunity of exploration and challenge as its western flank contains hanging Glacier and huge rock slab on it which makes the climbing quiet demanding.
